I was at the National Archives on Friday and had a look for Bertha Paul in their indexes for naturalisation. I had looked in their on line catalogue but it is not feasible to search for the name "Paul" - too many results as Christian names.

Bertha was not there but probably did not need to be naturalised if she was married soon after arriving.

There were only three Paul's:

Bernhard Ralph (1881)
Johann August (1861)
John Adam (1860)
