Alice Jane Kay born 10.2.1876 born at new Barracks Johnston Terrace Edinburgh
Kate Ellen KAY 19.9.1874 Aldershot camp, all arrived in Ontario Canada September 1894
Also with them was Morris/Maurice O’FLAHERTY Irish Tailor, born Listowel Ireland.

An Alice Kay died 24 Feb. 1897, Belleville, Ontario, She was born 1876, England. Cause of death was poisoning by Paris Green. She was a servant.

That is interesting, I don’t think she is mine, I have her 2nd marriage ”Bride ,Alice Kay Age: 40 Place of Birth: Embro, Scotland Widow [ why is her name Kay? was her first husband Mr Kay] to James Gibson his Age: 55 on the 15 Aug 1918,, 90 Winchester St., Toronto. Religious Denomination: Presbyterian. Father: Marshall Flaherty Mother: Ellen Lacey.”

I am looking for her 1st marriage also I cant find her in the 1901 census but she was possibly married by then.
She died 11 Oct 1920 age 42, I have her mothers 2nd marriage & her sister marriage & their deaths
Thank you yes that is them in the census I also have them in the 1911 census

Darryl Frank died in Carisbrooke Workhouse 18.11. 1896.
Frederick 9 at school Pauper Ryde IOW Bertram,13 Tailor Pauper Ryde IOW were both in the Work house In 1901 they went to Canada 1908 I don’t know what Ship.

Ellen & the two girls were in Canada in 1901 they arrived in Sept 1894
I have the censue for Ellen O’FLAHERTY & her daughter Kate Ellen, but no info on Alice Jane.

As Frederick William Kay was at the death of his step father he was informant 21.9.1913 of Maurice O'FLAHERTY, He Married 10 Mar 1915 in Dundas, ONTARIO. Dorothy KENNAUGH , & enlisted in army 12 Feb 1916.
