Good spot Janet...........

This is from freebmd.......

Marriages Jun 1860 (>99%)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Morley Sarah Lambeth 1d 336

'Lambeth' is in italics, which denotes a problem.....possibly the page number is out of sequence................

EDIT.........that would seem to be the reason..........

Marriages Jun 1860 (>99%)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Johnson Mary Ann Lambeth 1d 536
Masters William Quantock Lambeth 1d 536
TAYLOR James * 1d 536

BUT.....to be 100% sure.........get a child's birth cert

I have found a marriage on the Ancestry London Archives on 06/05/1860 between a William Quantock Masters and Sarah Morley. St Mary at Lambeth

It says that William is a wood turner which matches the 1871 record posted earlier .?

There is a Sarah Morley b 1842 in Depwade (Diss is in the same reg district)

Maybe???

Brenda Report 16 Jul 2010 21:20

I suppose the marriage might of been in Norfolk. as the sarah i am looking for was in Norfolk in 1861. but she could of gone to london in that year.as some of her family were there in newington. she was born in Norfolk Jan

Janet Report 16 Jul 2010 21:10

No I know you're not it's just that someone else had suggested her in a possible marriage to a Masters and I was just saying it wasnt the right marriage.

Brenda

Brenda Report 16 Jul 2010 21:08

The age does'nt add up because on the 1871 and 1881 census her age is a few years different it makes her born 1843 is what i am looking for Michael

Just wondered why you originally asked for a marriage after 1861 ?

Mike *

Mike * Report 16 Jul 2010 19:55

Diss in Norfolk is covered by Depwade
So maybe this is Sarah's birth if above marriage is correct

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Births Dec 1841

Burridge Sarah Depwade 13 28
