Well I think I may have found Henry on 1841 Census after all, so this was well worth it!

Thanks again!

Ben.

Hopefully Moorelvin's marriage cert will give some indication if Henry was still alive then .

Looks like you need a few certs !!

well its the lodging house keeper who has filled in the form so probably spelt it how it sounded ,They have Moorelvin born Chichester too, probably asked dad where were you born and put Chichester for both of them

Wow! Thank you so much, sorry went for lunch there!

Morralvin!! Never would have guessed. Looks like the death for Maria Marshall matches too. Now the problem starts of trying to find Henry Marshall born 1830c in Chichester as he doesn't seem to exist! He is down as 1842c on some census reports.

age is 12years out as Henry was 59 on the 1901 so should be 69 on 1911 but think he lied and knocked10 years off cos Maria was that much younger!

he is a widower so that death found for maria could be correct, They didnt rec ord how many years married for the males only the females

Yeah I managed to find Edward George on the Military Census 1911. I have an address of Henry Marshall on Edward's military records which is in Aldershot around 1914. But I've searched everywhere and no Henry Marshall in Windsor, Eton or Aldershot areas or a Moorelvin Marshall :(:(:(

That's weird - I never deleted anything above yet it says I did :S

I have managed to find the BMD's for Moorelvin, but unfortunately no 1911 Census :( I'm trying at the moment to find a death for Maria Marshall, the mother, in Windsor or Aldershot area.

This is an extremely hard family to follow. The link my partner has with it is Edward George Marshall who was in the military in 1911, I just wanted to see if I could gather how many years the parents had been married in the 1911 Census to see if I could find a marriage.

On Edward George Marshall's military records it shows his occupation/trade as a Hawker, which I looked up as someone who sells goods on the side of the road, and with his father being a flower seller they could have been travellers, long shot I know but it's possible. But with a brother named Moorelvin, thought I'd be able to find him on the 1911 Census! He's definitely alive as I found Moorelvin's marriage in 1920 and death records.

ARGHHHHHHHHH!

Ben.
