I am looking ror marrages of Linda Blakburn and Denise Blakburn round the 70s. Alberta canada . They were born over in england leeds. They have a brother Graham Blackburn he born in vancouvor British Columbia around 1955. There parents were Elsie (nee Walding ). Born england leeds 1925.


Harry Blackburn born 1920s late in england leeds. Elsie and harry moved to canada in the 50s. I am trying to find an address.

Could you see if you can find any details about one of my ancestors please. Robert Baxter, born l883 in West Ham, East London. He was a purser on a ship going to New York sometime between the lst and 2nd World Wars, and was never heard of again. Perhaps he started a new life in USA???

Jack joined his father in their Painting & Decorating business. They had one daughter Lynn before they left the UK and I believe one son, Craig, born there. Maureen's maiden name was Ackers and she would have been about 19 when they emigrated I Ithink,Maureen's mum Margaret, known as Peggy, was my Godmother and had a boarding house in Blackpool, UK where I was born 4/12/1945. My mother and myself lived there with my beloved Nana until we returned to Huddersfield when I was about 2. Maureen appeared for many seasons in a dance troupe in the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool. My name then was Valerie Caine (now Bailey)

Thanks for the reply. All I know about Robert Baxter, (my Grandad's brother) is what my Dad's cousin has told me. Robert went to New York and was never heard of again. Perhaps he was there when WW1 started, and decided not to come back. Sorry to be so vague, but there is no one else I can ask now. I don't think he would have been married.

That's absolutely brilliant.

Arthur was her son to her first marriage, so you were spot on. That's helped me a great deal. I wasn't too sure I was on the right trail, but your help has convinced me.

I did think Arthur married around 1925 as his children were born 1926 & 1827

Perhaps he was visiting his mother.

Could you do another look up please either his marriage or his family in 1930

Marrriage - Arthur Baker to Edna Sortman between 1920 - 1930 either Pennsylvania or Ohio.

son arthur john baker died in 1962 he married a johnson who is living
