Find Ancestors

I'm trying to trace marriage details of my great aunt Sarah Teedon b c 1873 Shoreditch. Father James Teedon (1837) mother Mary. To Henry Muggeridge. Not sure of his bd.
They had a son Thomas Muggeridge c 1888.
This may well help me date a wedding photo I have.

Have you looked on freebmd? If your dates are correct, Sarah would only have been 15 when Thomas was born.

Original says he's a widower, a butcher, 24 Walworth Rd. His father a butcher, deceased. Her address 28 Manor Place, her father a boot maker. Witnesses John james Teedon and J. Geo.? Teedon.

Searching for Henry Muggeridge - there are a number of entries where there are not enough females on the page.

Think this may be one of those cases, where you need to check the image, and cross reference for Sarah Teesdale in the same year and quarter + district/page and volume

William, do you not have the birth certificate for Thomas born 1888? It would give mother's maiden name. Or have you jumped to conclusions without proof?

This is a lot to take in and assimilate! But to answer Flick's question I'll explain why I know that Sarah married a Mr Muggeridge.
I have a copy of a solicitors letter here addressed to my Dads eldest brother, John James Roe. and dated 18 Mar 1932. It's re Miss Harriet Teeden (deceased) (James Teedon's daughter - John's aunt) and states that 'your aunt, Mrs Sarah Muggridge obtained letters of admin re Harriett's estate etc' Attached is a disbursment Beneficiaries named are Mrs S Muggridge, Mr Edward Teedon, children of the late Mrs Mary Roe (my grand-mother) and children of Mr James Teedon deceased.
I realise now I have been spelling out 'Muggeridge, don't know if that alters things?
