Two submitted entries for John DWYTE's born in Chesham on IGI in 1785, one had parents John & Sarah, the other David & Sarah.

Found this one on IGI - could Hounslow be a very bad transcription of Holton/Houlton (or vice versa)?

There are two trees on Ancestry with a John Dwight born 1785 Chesham Bucks marrying an Elizabeth Whitehart or Elizabeth Hadock

Also many trees with Hannah Hounslow 1788 Hardwick Bucks but none mention a spouse

Hello Cherilyn,
You gave me some good info back in July and was much appeciated maybe you can help me out again I have come across a John Dwight b 23/03/1785 Chesham m. Hannah Hounslow b.1788 Hardwick there are a couple of John Dwights that I have but nither seem to be married to Hannah Hounslow what can you find for me please !!!

Harriet is buried at Ballarat as GILMER. With her in same plot is Edna May GILMER, d. 1985 aged 80. Also Joseph ( as GILMEN), d. 1949 aged 76. Seem husband was Joseph not John???

GILMER.- On March 11. at Ballarat, Joseph Gilmer, of 21 Water street, Brown's Hill, Ballarat, loved husband of the late Harriet, and loving father of Edna, Jack and Althea, Elsie (Mrs. Quick), Harold and Jean, loving grandfather of Nancye. John, and Graeme, aged 76 years.

Eliza Ann DWIGHT had married Samuel ELLIS by 1904, but not found in Victoria.

No marriage found in Victoria for DWIGHT to ANDREWS 1918-1942.

(1)Was Eliza Ann Dwight b.1874 m. to anyone by the name of Ellis seing that was her name when she died in 1946.
(2) Eliza b 1900-d 1981 with the name of Andrews have you anything on her marriage.

She married to GILMOR and died as GILMER. Forgot to look for their chn so not sure which is correct. Could be a transcription error on one or other.

Yes happy to answer qu's and these are from Digger series of CDs.

it does NOT say Australia in the TITLE

you have put it in the header post

The header post does not always show more than a few words.


I suggested that you changed the TITLE to say "Eli Dwight 1869, Australia"

Hi SylvianIn Canada, Thank you for your comment when I posted the question on the 2nd July I did mention that the family I was trying to get records for was from Ballarat Victoria Australia. I thought that would have been enough info, but thanks once again for you intrest

I recommend that you change the title of your thread to include the word Australia,

...................... then you might get some help from people who live in Australia or have access to Australian records.
