How did you get back to Elsie please? Do you have her marriage certificate or can you say who she married please?

Are you just assuming that because John and his Elsie lived at Pasture Lane after they married that his wife lived there with her family before her marriage?

I have this - which I believe confirms Elsie in Pasture Lane with her family before her marriage to John Fowkes . John Fowkes family also lived in Pasture Lane - so I think it is very likely that it is THIS Elsie that he married and not the Elsie Bentley that you had found. ( really appreciate you telling me though & I will try to double check that Elsie out - as much as I can ( to completely eliminate her)
