Peter Report 21 Apr 2012 20:34

Hi there,

I have already looked into the parents of this family but now I am specifically looking into the lives of their children:

Fred Horner (born 1865 in South Otterington, N. Yorkshire, England)
Edmund Horner (born 1867, ditto)
Ada Horner (born 1870, ditto)

I have looked into their parents already and have all of their info.

I am looking for these three siblings only in the census and to see when they died.

Thank you, and best wishes,

Peter

If you have the parents you must have the children in some of the censuses?
Could you state who you want to find, when?
Thanks

Peter

Peter Report 21 Apr 2012 20:43

Thanks Patchem ... I have the family in 1871 but the mother sadly dies in 1876. Then Edmund and Fred are living in different households in 1881. (No sign of Ada or their father in 1881/1891 and 1901). But I am not looking for the father.

Could we start with the 1911? See if they are still alive then? Hopefully the boys may have raised their own families by this point.

Have you tried for a marriage for Ada on free bmd?

Peter

Peter Report 21 Apr 2012 20:51

Nothing jumps out for Ada ... a possible marriage in Halifax in 1891.

Wow, thank you! It is always satisfying for me to find information out on these boards like this! Can you see this family in 1901?

And Frederick was in the army?! So now more records to try and locate ;)

Thanks you have now found me another cousin in Jane and thank you also for the offer of the army records Choccy! Wow, I am glad I logged on tonight!

Whist on the topic, is their a sign of Edmund Horner? He is one of the above mentioned people's brothers. I am wondering if he may be easier to search in the 1911?
