3yrs ago I found out that my mother-in-law was the elderof win girs born to Ellen Maud Smith(nee Wright),They were illegitimate fathers surname was Marshall,I knw what happened to my Mum-inlaw .I have found Edith in 1911census living in ClactonEssex with her mother and siblings, I tried to find her marriage, BUT no luck,I spent a week looking on marriage rolls, there were an awful lot. Can anyone give me any tips on where to look now???Gladys |

Patchem This is the familyIam looking for ,Just EdithEllen wasmarried to a Royal Marrine Sargeant Major who was abroad on a war ship , Sometime between Sept 1902 and 19085 the twins were seperated Edith stayed with her Mother and Florence(my Mum -in law0 went with her father who abandoned her and a mrs Morgan took her in Iam trying to find aany info on Edith Gladys |

From 1969 an exact date of birth is on the death certificate, so you can use this to look without knowing surname. You can then try to relate this to possible marriages. |
