I have added this here since it has come up on ancestry worldwide when I put in the details for the above Doris V. Hervey.
But it makes no sense at all, since the Violet and William mentioned are both very much buried not ten miles from where I live in the UK!!
Can some kind person PLEASE get the details of the below for me so that I can try to unravel this:

Oh, 1,000 thanks to you Choccy. That is absolutely her, and my cousin - who by an amazing coincidence lives in Pennsylvania - can now apply for her grandmother's death certificate. As I'm sure you know, the US is very picky about who can and cannot apply for DC's and you have to prove your relationship. Cousin will be thrilled. Enormous thanks again.

Oh, how amazing you all are!

Doesn't it just help when folk have 'unusual' names? Makes delving so much easier, doesn't it?

I do see what you mean about living people - we hadn't even considered that we would find all this.

I can hardly believe that four weeks ago, we were holidaying very near to Greenport, Long Island and he and his family were just across the water. And the descendants of our Doris still live in Pennsylvania and upstate NY. Extraordinary. We never knew.

PLEASE keep trying with Avis - again, not a common name and hopefully she will pop up eventually.

Will be back to this in little bursts because going away soon for 48 hours.

THANK YOU.
:-D <3

One of those "doh" moments...just realised that Lyle should actually be Lysle! He seems to go by W Lysle. A good google puts him in Greenport,Long Island,NY-still going strong!

I really don't like delving into living people territory.

Well done with the marriage. I was hoping someone would come through from the US.
Can find absolutely nothing on Avis though. Kathleen's death and Wilmot Lyle's later life are also proving difficult.

Have a look at this. After googling Neilson Marshall, not a common name, a few sites came up with him donating to a charity with Myrna.
I will post this link as it names him but not Myrna. It is in Penn Valley which is named in the U S Public records indexes above. He is on page 8.

Maybe it's not your man, but it is a coincidence.

OMG, just managed to get back to this.

This is indeed wonderful findings. The daughter which Alviegal writes about at the bottom of her post is in fact our Mrs. Doris HERVEY, whose husband was the Robert Hervey we've been writing about. Robert is my great uncle, Doris his first wife.

Are there any findings for the possible marriages of the Marshall boys, please?

And a possible death for Kathleen Sybil Harman MARSHALL?

We are very keen to track these family members down.

Thank you, thank you to you all and Patchem too. You are a wonderful team and I am always so grateful for your help.

Now, can anyone see what might have happened to Avis the other sister please?

Thank you a million again. I will be away for most of the weekend, so please don't think me rude if I don't get back to this for a couple of days.
