Find Ancestors

I've double checked and Edmund born 1874 who went to America is cousin of my Edmund born 1879, the one who died in mysterious circumstances in Burnley in 1920. Richard, older Edmunds dad was the brother of John, Edmund the younger one was his son. Both brothers named one of their children Edmund just to add to the confusion. Richard and Grace nee Ellis were unusual in that Richard was born or became blind at a young age and still managed to raise a family and became an inventor of sanitary ware. His and John's father was also named Richard.

I've discovered the problem. Edmund born 1879 was Don of my John hocking and catherine nee Thompson born in Cleator Moor.
The older Edmund born in 1874 is the uncle of the other Edmund. Or maybe cousin, as older Edmund was son of Richard and Grace who I'm sure was father and mother of John hocking. I'll just double check my tree again as the same names are very confusing.

My Edmund was definately the one who died in Burnley in 1920. Definately him. Born in Cleator Moor in Egremont. Brother of Mark hocking. I'm confused now. How could he be dead in 1920 then in America. Two Edmunds from same family, cousins perhaps?

Anyway, your Edmund was living in Rhode Island in 1927, per one of Maddie's posts earlier.

Wow all this info. Can't believe it. Think Edmund came home because I think he was killed in the 1920,s in Burnley. Inquest in paper says possibly killed by Peter bannon a local boxer. So maybe Elizabeth went back to America to live.?
