It was the same one that I found. All the children were Christened there. |

Thank you Pat - I found John christened at St Thomas Portsmouth in 1805! Surely they would not have coffed up for 2 christenings? |

Thank you Pat and Brummiejan, the 1861 came up trumps for me too, on the GR single line and gave William as Portsmouth but I got Keziah for the wifes spelling even if she had got 2 years younger! Portsea and Portsmouth are towards synonymous so you have found me Williams family. I am having a good day..... |

Thanks Pat, just need William's place of birth from the 1851 census to confirm that your birth is correct - unfortunately the surname Charlesworth is more common than Presgraves! |

Thanks PatinCyprus that is great. All I need now is similar info on William Charlesworth. My neighbour will be well impressed! |

Took an interest in this as I lived in a village very close to Ollerton and Kneesall. |

Hi brummiejan now you have really upset the pigeons with your cat! but I suppose it is possible that the parents replaced the dead baby with another child of the same name - not an uncommon practice at that time. |

If so, though age somewhat out. Not sure what the death means, is this correct or submitted??: |

Thank you brummiejan and Prickly Holly. William and Keziah are great. There is a grandaughter Keziah born 1876ish but I am syill perplexed by all the changes made by GenedReunited and IGI - sleuthing ancestors used to be fun but now it is just hardwork for this old wrinkly! |
