Both areas where all the Foleys come from. Does anybody know the names of the glass works please? |

Didn't know about the rounding down of age in the early census records, so that is helpful. Many thanks to all who have responded, I now have the baptism, marriage and death of Thomas! So I can order the certificates and maybe get further back. Will also check out the other sites mentioned. thank you all! :-D |

However it looks like he was born more 1812-1814. |

The only marriage of a Thomas Foley to a Mary Ann is the one I (and Brummiejan) posted between T.F. and Mary Ann Scriven in 1831. |

Can't find them in 1871. They're not with the Pargeters or with Harriet who has joined her husband in Durham. |

If it is the above then this is them in 1841, and if Harriet is the eldest child then they were married about 1830. |

WOW! I couldn't find them on the 1861 census, just 1841 and 1851. The childrens names I have are: Harriet, 1833. William 1835. John 1837. Mary Ann 1840. Lucy 1843. Thomas 1845. Ann M 1847. Sarah 1849.Louisa 1851. It looks as though it is the right family, thank you. |

1812 is too early date-wise, but the fact that his fathers name was William bears some weight, since that is the name given to the first born son for the next 3 generations! |

We need to know the children so we can get the right Thomas Foley. |

Thanks, I do have the 1841 census details, but no marriage certificate, because Genes only go back to 1837, and he doesn't come up on any Parish records. so I am a bit stuck now! |
