My great uncle, Robert Serjeant, was born in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia in 1891. He ultimately died in what I understand was a mining accident at Grand Forks, British Columbia, Canada, on the 24th October 1933. I am trying to find out the circumstances of his death.

The death cert will record cause of death.

If it was a major accident, the newspapers of the time/area may have carried reports

Have you googled for info?
