That death is almost for sure

Christina (Lancashire)

Had looked at that birth and discarded it..Thanks for the information on Ireleth
From the information I have Charles was a General Labourer or a Electric light Labourer

Christina (Lancashire)

Christina (Lancashire) Report 9 Apr 2013 00:35

Could Hannah's place of birth be IRELETH in Lancashire?

I don't have access to check Charles' occupation, but could he have been there for work when his daughter was born?

Iron mining was huge in that area between 1850's to the 1890's, with families migrating from all parts of the UK for work.

The registration district for Ireleth was Ulveston and there is a birth for a Hannah Palmer in 1872, but she's not yours. Her birth reg is on CumbriaBMD ..... ....but her mother's maiden name is Millard.

This is for info on the Parish Church.....

Baptism details held in the Cumbria Records Office.

Might be worth checking to see if there is a baptism for your Hannah.. They hold baptism records from 1865 onwards.

Ok.............i will check back on here tomorrow too.

I do understand how frustrating this is for you.

Looking back, and if we are on the right track.... His Father died in 1855............might this be his Mother's death....

What information were you hoping to find on that census?

Fredk Report 8 Apr 2013 21:00
