mothers mauden name was english i think.

I have found the following possibke sibblings but not sure if they are right.

All these have motgets madien name of English

This would be your grandparents' marriage - a copy of the marriage cert should give you details of Samuel's father and it would be possible to work back from there:

I can see no marriage in England or Wales for the parents of Samuel.
