Welcome to the boards Alison.

You have added to a thread which is more than 2 years old so Jackie is probably not expecting to see any replies added now so may not see your post.

You could try clicking on her name and sending her a private message. If she still has the same email address that she registered with Genes then she will be notified by them that she has a message from you.

Hello Jackie I have been researching my family tree since last December and I knew I had a great great grandmother who was born in Gibraltar who happens to be Elizabeth Alderton. I would love to know how you are related to her. :-)

Top half of page seems relatively clear but lower half more difficult

Periods Served are written as e.g. 8 10/12 so 8 years and 10 months etc.

Conduct has been very good. In possession of five good conduct badges and then medals as I'd written in earlier post.

No Entry in the Regimental defaulters book

Never tried by Court Martial

? Slight wounded in the stomach at the Water Gate battery Lucknow 1857

?Slight wounded in the leg in the post office battery Lucknow 1857

? no ?count of his ?--- appears to have been held
