Searching for information on Albert Edward Strike (Norfolk, England) b.1864 who married my great grandmother Alice Rose Applegate (Marsham Norfolk England) on 22/03/1898 at the Parish Church, Parish of Marsham, Norfolk, England. Their children were: Albert Strike. b1899; Augusta Strike b. 1901; Alice Strike b.1905; Aubrey Strike b.1910 and Alberta Strike b.1912. Any information appreciated on the Strike Lineage, marriges/ deaths of children, anything. Many thanks.

Thanks for your reply looking forwards/ backwards/anything/everything over and above what I have which is the marriage to my grandmother Alice Rose Applegate and their childrens names. I have history on Alice Rose Applegate completely forwards to date with certificates relating the Applegate family and back to 1780. Anything on Strike his childrens marriages, their husbands, children, deaths, is that which I search for now. Any help would be gratefullmy received.

Yes, that is correct. Alice Rose Applegate is my great grandmoher. Her illegitimate daughter Agnes Maud Applegate is my Grandmother. When Alice mey Edward Strike she left my Grandmother Agnes with her parents who she believed were her parents but were actually her Grandparents. She also thought that her mother Alice Rose Applegate was her sister. Quite a sad story really, as my grandmother Agnes Maud Applegate only found out this information when she was in her sixties. My mother was Agnes Maud Applegate's daughter. So I am researching the Strike family my 6th cousin twice removed has also been helpful in proviiding some information to get me started so many thanks to her and to all who have replied to this thread and all your kind help. Awesome.

Original says married 13 years. 6 children born alive - 4 still living and 2 have died.

Were you aware of the 2 who died? Their names have been wrongly entered on the original but without ages. There is a Herbert possibly around 11 and possibly Walter (hard to read) in order of age possibly 7/ 8 or 9. There is a Walter Ernest b 1903 Smallburgh RD

I have now Strike's children being purportedly married but have to qualify the information.

Augusta Strike apparantly married Ivor M Reece 1918 (no children found)
Allice Strike apparantly married Horace M Neave 1924 (apparently 4 children but have no info)
Alberta Strike apparantly married Harry E Allen 1936 (apparantly 2 children but have no info)

Nothing proved as yet as I have no certificates or any other info from censuses or other sources.

The boys Albert & Aubrey Strike would possibly have been called up for the Great War so I have no info on their survival.

George Applegate b. 1832 married Rosamond A Bayfield (aka Rossana) b.1850. They were my great great grandfather and great great grandmother. I go back linegae wise with Roasamond A Bayfield to her ancestors Robert Bull 1700s? whose wife was Elizabeth Ducker 1700s?

George Applegate b. 1852 my great great grandfather I go back lineage wise to his ancestors being Richard Applegate 1744-1811 and his wife Phylis Dack b? died 1821.

This Phyllis Dack is related to my 6th cousin twice removed who has provided some information. So thanks Chris and to everyone for your kind support and help. So refreshing. :-)

Possible 7 births 1925 - 1945. Look on freebmd. Not posting here as may still be alive. There doesn't appear to be another Neave/Strike marriage.

You can then check for possible marriages for them and look for their children etc. Free bmd goes into the 1970's generally at present, it's an on going project which will eventually go to 1983. You'll need commercial sites otherwise.
