Just been going through all these notes again. Thanks so much for all this info.

I'm helping a lady who is the daughter of John Herbert Francis Fox b1932. He left her mother when she was a baby and she knew nothing at all about him other than the name on her birth certificate.

We found out today that he has now passed away but with all this info I'm going to type her up a little history and we've managed to obtains photo of him from a family member that we've traced.

I finally found Constance- it's complicated!

In 1938 John Fox files for divorce. The petition calls for Constance Fox and George Merrett.

George's name was actually George MERRITT.

In 1938 they are on the electoral registers together:

I was in Kent in 1939'having just been evacuated from SE London
