I don't think you can reasonably hope to find Alice's ancestors without buying a copy of her marriage certificate

Thanks Chris, certainly is a head scratched, all my father in law can tell me is she came from a well to do family and that they disowned her and his family had gotten rid of all her info, strange world!!.

Thanks for the replies so far, I don't think she was previously married and her parents weren't mentioned on the marriage certificate, I have been told that they did not know of the marriage.
