It say,s on Annie,s Death cert that there was a son Charles Black,I have even tried Scotland,s People but can not find him ,the death cert say,s Annie Died age 68 in 1960 and gave the address 343 Alderman Road Glasgow Scotland ,and gave 86 Kintillo Drive Glasgow for her son ,can anyone help please Thank you Nellie

If you mean children born during the war, Annie would still be at home and the children would be registered in Scotland.

If Charles Black was in the forces would I still find the birth of any children on Scotland,s People

I have just searched SP with the death info you have given and she is there it also gives the name of a son also a Charles Black ......My father was named after Charles Black but his was surname McNaught he was born 1923 aslo my brother has same name Annie Lang McNaught was my Granddads sister Thank you for your help

If. as per her other thread, Nellie's father's surname was McNaught, the above aren't his parents, although they could be related

It's possible that they didn't have children...............

You need to use Scotlandspeople which is not a subscription site. You need to buy credits. The index for births does not show the mother's maiden surname.

If you search for possible deaths, you can reduce the number of result by inputting the mother's maiden surname. Note though that it is only fairly recent deaths that show the mmn on the index.

You would have to look at the Scotlands People website for the births of any children.

However, for births after 1854, it's not possible to use mms as a search term on SP - and there are hundreds of Black births. Impossible to narrow them down, unless any have noticeably relevant first names.

MMN isn't on Scottish records as it is on England/Wales after 1911

Im looking for children of Charles Black and Annie Lang Mcnaught they married 28/june/1912 in Glasgow ,His parents were John Alexander Black and Catherine Donald ... Annies were Samuel Mcnaught and Sarah Frizzle .It says on wed cert that he was 26 and Annie 21 ...but I can not find any children for them ..Can any one help please and Thankyou
