Hi ErikaH

Interesting re the possibility of the wrong name for Edward.

Edward married his first wife Julia Russell in 1896 who died in 1901.

In the 1891 Census a Thomas Goodacre was a boarder in the household of Aice Russel and Julia was there also. Did this Thomas/Edward marry Julia? Looking like it is.

Thanks for the heads up.

Cheers
David

Thomas was widowed when he married Sarah Brand. I presume their son Edward was called Thomas to avoid confusion, with Thomas' son Edward from his first marriage?

possible first marriage?

Moving on I am working on the below,

Edward Goodacre
England and Wales Birth Registration Index, 1837-2008

birth registration: 1865 Boston, Lincolnshire, England.

Can anybody please assist in trying to locate the names and details of Edward's parents? I am unable to find him in any census until 1901 and 1911by which time Edward is married as previously discussed.

Any lead is very much appreciated.

Cheers
David
