This gentleman married Ruby Slater in 1949 in Oxford.In August 1952 Ruby had a daughter-Valerie (Brown) born in Kettering.By mid 1953,Ruby had remarried to Bennett.I'm unsure as to what happened? Having checked deaths for Norman Brown I found two that were possibles? One was Norman J,the other was Norman C.I've also found a marriage in September Q of a Norman C J Brown to Mary A.Griffin-also in Oxford.This appears to be the correct one? They appear to of had a daughter in Sept Q 1955-Ann E.Brown. Any information on Norman C J Brown either before his marriage to Ruby Slater,or after Valeries birth in 1952,greatly appreciated.THANK YOU.

The second marriage cert for Ruby should give her marital status at the time

In view of the marrige year and area this could be him on the 1939 register

Thank you.He was born in 1927 in Oxford-so that's almost certainly him.His mothers maiden name was Higgs.

Still in Oxfordshire to 2009 with wife Mary on the electoral rolls

As his 1939 record is open it's possible he passed 2009 onwards

WOW !!! Rubys brother-John,is still alive-aged 88 Years,maybe this fellow is still around ? Ruby died in 2012.

Well they may have opted out but as his 1939 record is open he may have passed

Norman 'Topper' Brown-that must of been his nickname?

ANN E BROWN-Born 1955 in Oxford,to Norman & Mary (nee Griifin).

Looking for any info on the whereabouts of this lady.Her partner may be nicknamed Mitch? Possibly Mitchell? I have possible marriages in the Oxford area to a Turner & a Thomas in 1982.She has had children-info off her fathers obituary notice.Mary Brown was still alive in 2012.Norman died September 6th,2009.
