Came across an article regarding Mr George Douthwaite of Norton regarding a long service award this may be my great grandfather

If anyone has access to the Newspapers for a fuller story, will be much appeciated

A long service medal has been presented to Mr. George Douthwaite, of Norton, who has cornpleted 35 years' service as postman at Malton., The suggestion by the Edlington Parish Council

Interestingly, this is for the same name in the same paper

George Douthwaite, the landlord of the Bazaar Inn, The Moor, Sheffield, was found vesterdav suffering from a wound in his throat. was removed in the Fire Brigade ambulance to the Royal Hospital, where he was detained. His condition was reported last night ...

The Oct 1921 article is actually

Reference to the Edlington Parish council is about a proposed market!

The missing bit about the stabbing is '.....as being serious'

George Douthwaite of Norton/Malton sound very promising as i knew he was a postman.

The other article has no connection to my Douthwaite ( as far as im aware)
