Yes I have the parents marriage certificate for 1845 at Manchester cathedral

yes 1861 census is correct....There appears to be long gaps in the births of the children..I found the birth on Lancashire B M D

In 1845, the Edward on 1861 above would have been 14

The man who married in 1845 was of full age - i.e. at least 21

also, his occupation was 'Spinner'. The one on 1861 was a Slater's Labourer

I have Edwards death certificate for 1889 in salford His wife Margaret is the informant and she states his age as 67
