This looks like the Charlotte Leese mum nee Atkins born 1890

James Henry Leese born 1873 brother to Albert henry leese who married Emily.
James Henry married Mary Monica Atkins and had Charlotte 1890.

1901 Charlotte is not with her parents so could this be the one with Albert H and Emily J in 1901 ?? and mistranscribed as daughter.

there is a death for him in 1940

but i cant find a marriage

can find nothing for emily

Jane Sturland 1876 married 1903 Wolverhampton to Albert Henry lees.

1911 they are at the same address as Alice Blunt nee leese who was the daughter of Emily and Albert
Alice married Henry John Blunt.

So it is the same family so Emily must have passed away before 1903.

But as the name is consistently spelled Lees, not Leese, perhaps it's a red herring.

And also Jane Sturland's marriage was 8 years before 1911, not 18.

It may of course have been a mistake by Albert in filling out the census form - but a big mistake - and he got his own age wrong too.

On the other hand, Alice Blunt's DOB would fit with Alice Leese's birth reg.

Assuming that is the correct Albert who married Jane Sturland -
If they did marry 18 years before 1911, that makes it 1893.

So, I wonder if Emily J Lees born 1875 (on 1901 census) is actually Jane Sturland, because of the initial J and the YOB?

Perhaps they'd been living as a married couple for 18 years, although not actually married.

Perhaps in 1901, when asked his wife's name, Albert said "Emily", then quickly realised his mistake and said "Jane", so that the enumerator thought his wife was Emily Jane.
