What about Wilfred Brown who married Ada Batchelor?

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 8 Mar 2019 13:25

What about them?

Have you tried looking for info yourself?

And it would be polite to acknowledge all the info people have dug out for you

John

John Report 8 Mar 2019 13:45

Thank you for all the work you all have made here, very much appreciated indeed.

The Bachelors are a complete mystery to me, Ada , but her daughter Edith was my mum.

ArgyllGran

ArgyllGran Report 8 Mar 2019 15:54

I don't see a marriage of Wilfred Brown to Ada Batchelor/Bachelor.

What clue can you give us? Rough ages? Possible place of marriage?
Where have you found their names?

EDIT:
Ah, you mean Ada was your grandmother?

So -
was your mother born 1925 in Portsmouth? [ EDIT: no, forget that ]

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 8 Mar 2019 16:58

Do you have your mother's birth cert?

Have you done anything at all yourself to try to find info?

Did you perhaps mean Wallace, and not Wilfred, John?

If so, where did you find the surname Bachelor for Ada?

I don't see the birth of an Edith Ada Ringham, not the marriage of an Edith or Ada Bachelor to a Ringham (which could have been a possibility).

John

John Report 8 Mar 2019 23:30

ArgyllGran Yes you got her.

Ada Brown, MN Batchelor was my grandmother, married to Wallace Brown [not Wilfred], living at Martin Street, Bristol

Ada had three siblings Emily 1879, Rose 1880 and Alf 1881, all in Bristol , but their parents are a mystery at moment.

I don't think she or they were from Portsmouth, but from Bristol.

John

John Report 8 Mar 2019 23:50

Could be Ringham though couldn't it.
