I have bought the marriage certificate of James and Susan Matthews which I think is the right one but can't confirm it. My thinking was that I know I used to visit the Matthews of Wardle were Susan Matthews

I think the family on Halifax Road is related to Susan Matthews on the marriage certificate with James Smith and the ones I was looking for, how they ended up on Birch Road I don't know and how I will confirm this I don't know. Thank you all for your help.

Sorry I thought I would receive an e-mail if I got answers. My mothers maiden name was Edith Shore. Her grandparents were James and Susan Smith. I was born 1947
so would be about 7 to 8 yrs old (people always look older than they are when you are a child) probably My mum would be in her 30's so maybe about her age or a little older not sure. The 1861 Susan Matthews could be my great Grandmother as hers is the only marriage certificate which names her and James Smith and she is the one I am trying to tie them too as we can't confirm that.
