Dea Report 5 Sep 2019 14:03

I have been searching through newspapers looking for any mention of a bigamy case concerning this man but I am amazed that there does not appear to be any mention of this at all.

Are you absolutely certain that he was jailed for this ?

I did find someone who I thought could well be him on the census' but I can't find any proof at all to back this up at present. - If it was him he was back with his wife on the 1939 !

Have you any idea what happened to all Fanny's children from her first marriage?

I will keep looking...................

Not seeing a William for father who is a Horse dealer in right area, but as William was a bigamist all info is suspect, eg my grandfather also a bigamist used a different first name on his marriage.

You could try. http://search.findmypast.co.uk/record?id=tna%2fccc%2f2b%2fho140%2f00564371

That shows a William Holland convicted in Bolton in 1920 I just thought if there was another wife she could be from Bolton. But yours sounds closer esp.with that address.

OOOOOOoooooooo - that's a 'nasty one'!! - you are fortunate it was found and they were able to deal with it !!

I am happy to give any help I can on this - I really do enjoy researching.........

Grandson obviously not well enough for school but is wrapped up in a blanket watching netflicks on his tablet in the bedroom next door to my office so I can pop in and out for a chat and make him drinks etc and he is reasonably happy so what ever you need, just ask away!

I have found a couple of things on Harriet but want to get it a bit sorted before I post. - Will speak later,
