If you can't visit the Archives to see Baptism Record, for closer inspection, you could always try below...

That could be the person I got the birth certificate from
wish I could read Latin to understand what it says

The Howley in 1871 could be them same as Argyll gran has put on

I did fancy the 1861 census for Ann Hailey at 5 lion Court it seems to much a coincidence that their name is so alike to the one on birth certificate and the address is the same

And here's 5 Lyons (spelled Lion) Court (next to Wright Street as in that 1881 record above) in 1861:

George Hailey
in the 1861 England Census
Name: George Hailey
Age: 38
Estimated birth year: 1823
Relation: Head
Spouse's name: Mary Hailey
Gender: Male
Where born: Ireland
Civil Parish: Ardwick

Country: England
Street address: 5 Lion Court

Page Number: 24

Could Hailey be yet another variation of the name?

ArgyllGran

ArgyllGran Report 15 Oct 2019 12:13

I think that may be a different Lyons Court.

Patrick Connor's neighbour Elizabeth Manchester at 1 Lyons court is still there in 1871 and 1881.

Ardwick isn't mentioned on Elizabeth's records in any of those three census years

Elizabeth Manchester
in the 1881 England Census
Name: Elizabeth Manchester
Age: 75
Estimated birth year: abt 1806
Relationship to Head: Head
Gender: Female
Where born: Manchester, Lancashire, England
Civil Parish: Manchester
County/Island: Lancashire
Country: England
Street address: 1 Lyons Court
Marital status: Widow
Occupation: Laundress
Registration district: Manchester
Sub registration district: St George

However, Ardwick is stated specifically in other people's records in 1861, 1871, and 1881.
For example only - picking one from each year, entirely at random:

Sarah Ellen Sowerby
in the 1861 England Census
Name: Sarah Ellen Sowerby
Age: 24
Estimated birth year: 1837
Where born: Salford, Lancashire, England
Civil Parish: Ardwick
Ecclesiastical parish: St Thomas
County/Island: Lancashire
Country: England
Registration district: Chorlton
Sub-registration district: Ardwick

Mary Burgess
in the 1871 England Census
Name: Mary Burgess
Age: 48
Estimated birth year: 1823
Relation: Wife
Gender: Female
Where born: Chorlton Lancashire England
Civil Parish: Ardwick
Ecclesiastical parish: St Thomas
County/Island: Lancashire
Country: England
Registration district: Chorlton
Sub-registration district: Ardwick

Ada Podmore
in the 1881 England Census
Name: Ada Podmore
Age: 14
Estimated birth year: abt 1867
Gender: Female
Where born: Hulme Manchester, Lancashire, England
Civil Parish: Ardwick
County/Island: Lancashire
Country: England
Street address: 11 Mewitt Street
Occupation: Home Work
Registration district: Chorlton

Earley / Hurley / Howley are just variations depending on how the clerk thought it sounded and ought to be spelled.

If the family members were illiterate, they wouldn't know how to spell it in any case.

The first bit is means William I've seen that before but it's the next bit fillius Georgii Howel & Hannae does that mean his parents??

It would seem we have Earley-Hurley now Howley could they be transcription errors but then Corby in the margin?
