What you have shared is such tiny writing and difficult to decipher. And most of the names on the page are hidden. As he is listed as a Scholar - perhaps all children.

Ahh! Got it - it's Ancestry's version. Now I can enlarge !

I can see Fording Bridge written in the left margin
There is then written in green a set of initials ECIADX and a date of 29.12.59 possibly relating to a first notation of EVERETT Graeme
and then again in green ECIA NN possibly 19.3.73 and relating to a notation of EVERETT James Graeme Maldwyn

On the opposite page there is a note saying "see page 9" - this is the page I've found (see below)

So, looking at the District and code numbers at the top of the page then I was able to come up with this other record from Find My Past -

Gadema (James I M) Evans's life in 1939
Fording Bridge, Havant and Waterlooville U.D., Hampshire, England

Evans household
(3 people)
First name(s) Last name(s) DOB Sex Occupation Marital status Schedule Schedule Sub Number
John M Evans 11 Sep 1900 Male Bank Manager Married 141 1
Dorothy M Everett (Evans) 28 Jun 1904 Female Unpaid Domestic Duties Married 141 2
Gadema (James I M) Evans 16 Mar 1929 Male At School - 141 3
Ref: RG101/2349C/010/42 Letter Code: EDQP

Gadema is a wrong interpretation of the Graeme which has been added at a later date, possibly the 1959 date

James other initials are GM not IM

Fording bridge is the name of the house - possibly on Lymburn road)

On the opposite page there is a note by Dorothy's name saying "See Con. sheet
On the opposite page there is a note by James' name saying "See page 23" - ? the one you have posted.

Dorothy Evans has had Everett written above the Evans with in green the initials ECIA and a date in the margin that looks like 4.5.64 - not necessarily the date the name was changed but the date the change was notified.

Someone has not been able to read James details when transcribing I think and that is where the Gadema comes from. Also the initial I which is partly obscured. It actually says Evans James G. M. Graeme is written in green with the initials ECIADX a date of 29.12.59 in the margin.

Mistakes have obviously been made when transcribing names and changes from one page to another

Thank you for all that info I wonder why the surname was, changed to everett will look into all this thank you so much

The note of Everett above Evans on Dorothy's line suggests that she changed her name and notified the register of that 4.5.64

Maybe she remarried (can't see an England/Wales marriage) between John's 1962 death and the 1964 date or maybe she lived with someone else and was known by his surname.

It would have been helpful if you’d said what his second forename was when you first asked for the lookup

Lynne

Lynne Report 25 Oct 2019 14:36

Sorry I was only told his second forename after I asked for the lookup
