I've come across a Jessie Stow marrying a Clee, West Ham 1918, I wonder if this could be the same family. I'm happy that Jessie is a female, I imagine the baptism is wrong..

You would need the Cert., Death for that Jessie 1932 (41).

Yes, the word "male" seems to be a wrong assumption on the part of the transcriber. No sex is mentioned on the image of the original baptism document.

Maybe the transcriber hadn't heard of the female name Jessie, and assumed it was the male name Jesse. (Or just misread it that way.)
