Can someone with an Ancestry sub check the electoral rolls for him? It looks as though he was still at Clayponds Gardens until he died.

Friend will have to order certs in order of importance, her pension may get squeezed otherwise.

The crucial information needed was about John McGregor, hoping his death cert will open up the proverbial can of worms which, oddly, is needed :-D

Flora would have been 47 in 1925. Not sure if that Robert could be the correct one.

I ended up paying for a few credits, not much help with John but confirmed a brother:

Friend says she remembers visiting family members in and around Ruislip and Uxbridge.

I have a copy of court papers here which give John's address in 1955 as Carlyon Place, Brentford, Middx. Confirmed by police who served papers there.

In 1965 he was at Clayponds Gardens, South Ealing.

Both resulting from complaints and judgements under the bastardy laws.

No idea if that helps or not.

Without his DOB I cannot pin down which John McGregor/MacGregor he is in the POW (Poland) records. Where he died and equally importantly if he married!
