	Hi, I have arrived at a brick wall, can anybody find any parents and ancestors of my G,G,G,G,G.G.Grandmother Elizabeth Gardner C1795 born in North Petherton in Somerset, who married Richard Wood [1798-1887] in Stapleford in Somerset please.

Member Since: July 2005 Posts: 10,494 Send Message	You haven't said where you've looked, whether the marriage is the correct one (even if not where you say), whether you mean Stapleford or Staplegrove. How far you can go back depends on whether you can find the correct links to take you back, which we haven't done as yet. If that is the correct census in 1841 then Richard could have been born 1797-1801 and Elizabeth 1792-1796 as ages were rounded down in that census to the nearest 5 for anyone over 15 Where have you found dates and places? The more info you can give us, the more help we can give you.

	I think it's Staplegrove. Found info on Family tree search. I think the Gardiner's go way back, I Have a rough note of Valentine Gardiner 1723-1799 and a Valentine Gardener 1698 and a brother Thomas 1695 and John 1693. .

Is the marriage correct - not where you said in your OP Is the 1841 census the correct family Where were they after that? 	Elizabeth Gardiner father Valentine Gardiner 1756-1838 and mother Mary Crocker 1762-1812. Mary Crocker's father was James Crocker 1738-1816 and his wife was Ellenor Sage 1736-1812. Richard Wood's father was Richard Wood 1708-1782 who married Joan Gill 1710-1780. Grandfather was Richard Wood c16902-1728 married to Joan Vickers c1690.
