Find Ancestors

Hi,everybody.Asked to trace the family of Joseph Butcher with,unfortunately,very little information. Only available info' was they think he was born in approx.1888 at Hartlepool and he married in 1912 to Alethea Wilson in Hartlepool.I have been
unable to find anything of Joseph and his family that looks definite.
Sorry there isn't more but that was all they (friends of a friend) had.

15 births below Butcher / mmn Robinson in Hartlepool

No other marriage that combination in that area 1880 +/- 10 years

**There are 12 to be found in 1911 who have appeared on 1891/1901/1911 census with the family

Doesn't look to be room for a Joseph 1888 or 1893-ish

3 appear to have died very early and whilst the 1911 says no children have died, I wondered if Isabella was theirs in view of Mother's name - EDIT - but not unless they forgot to count her in the 12. ?Same could be said for other 2 not counted

If they were buried in Hartlepool (where I was born) then the lady in the cemetery office in Stranton Grange Cemetery is really helpful and will look up deaths for you for any cemetery in Hartlepool. They have really good records and if you are local to the area you could call in and they have maps of the cemetery and will mark on the map where any grave is situated. I have never had to pay anything for this service.

The image would appear to possibly give DOB as 11.1.93. In either case, not the same DOB as on the 1939 register but Althea is mentioned on both the Pension claim and 1939 register
