Jade

That child DIED

Look at ALL the info people have posted for you

And please explain precisely where you think the actual DoB is recorded other than on the birth certificate

Mary Ann Ackroyd's birth has been posted already on this thread.

I can see you have put her on your tree on GR.

But -
She is only one of many girls named Mary whose births were registered in Middlesbrough in the last quarter of 1913 or first quarter of 1914 (list posted by ErikaH on page 1) .
Any of them might have been born on 7/12/1913, but nobody can know that without further evidence, such as a copy of the birth cert.

However, Alviegal posted what is probably that child's death - copied here again.

When you say " births deaths and marriages site" - exactly which site is that, please? Can you post a link to it?
If you mean FreeBMD - that only shows you the quarter in which the birth was registered - not the actual DOB.

My apologies for putting in keen that was a typing error but fact remains , if you use births deaths and marriages site : mary ann Ackroyd was born in middlesborough on 07 December 1913 .

9D . 1088 are the references. :-D

Jade -
I don't know where you're getting your information about Mary Keen , but it's not correct.

Which site has the tree you mention? It's not on GR or Ancestry, as far as I can see.

If you look on FreeBMD, you will see that there were only two Mary Keens born in Middlesbrough in all the years between 1875 and 1968.
Neither of them was born anywhere near 1913.

Look again and you will find there was a mary born 07, December 1913 in middlesborough and they are exact details I was given by her son and they match a tree from her family.

jade

jade Report 9 Jan 2021 09:11

The Mary I was looking for was maiden name Keen born in middlesborough, the death doesn't match Marys details but Mary Keen fits exact same birthday with the details I had.

It's never a good idea to rely on "information" in someone else's family tree unless they provide documentary proof of what they say.

Far too many people don't bother checking.

To repeat what's already been said -

Nobody named Mary Foreman was born in Middlesbrough 1910-15.

If it was indeed her birth cert which you saw when you were a child, it couldn't have been in the name of Foreman - or if it was, she wasn't born in Middlesbrough.

The birth records of both sons give their mother's maiden surname as Foreman.

These are the only births, anywhere in England or Wales, of girls named Mary or Mary A Foreman 1911-14:

Births Sep 1911
FOREMAN Mary A (mmn Bailey) Sunderland 10a 1486

Births Mar 1912
Foreman Mary (mmn Graham) Tynemouth 10b 572
Foreman Mary (mmn Starr) Shoreditch 1c 89
Foreman Mary A (mmn Warden) Pancras 1b 26

Births Mar 1913
Foreman Mary (mmn Evans) Barnsley 9c 460

Births Jun 1913
Foreman Mary (mmn Norris) Peterbro 3b 440

Of those, only the ones registered in March 1912 and March 1913 could fit with a birth date of 7th December.

jade Report 8 Jan 2021 13:19

Using BDM the mary Ann I was looking for matches the information I have and after being given access to a foreman tree it also matches.
The death of a Mary in 1914 was in Leicester and I was looking for mary Anne from Middlesbrough.

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 8 Jan 2021 11:48

Sorry, Jade, but without the birth cert (which you say you've seen - although only when you were a child) you can't know when Mary was born. The DoB on the death cert was provided by the person registering the event, and was - presumably - only what he'd been told.

Jade -
I don't understand your last post.

The only death of a Mary Ann in Leicester in 1914 (per FreeBMD) was that of a Mary Ann WIGSTON.
There are also lots of Mary A's, some of whom may be called Mary Ann (I haven't trawled through them all on GRO) but none called Foreman or Ackroyd.

Alviegal posted Mary Ann Ackroyd's death in MIDDLESBROUGH in 1914.
Mary Ann Ackroyd is NOT your Mary Ann.

In any case, she is only one of the many Mary Anns whose birth registration in Middlesbrough would fit with a DOB of 7/12/1913, as shown on the list posted by ErikaH.

Alviegal.
The only death of mary ann in 1914 is showing as Leicester and ours was Middlesbrough but thanks anyway. :-(
