The 1901 is not the correct one if Ann Ellis was with her in 1871 with George Hyde husband my Sarah was married to John I'm going for the one Rose suggested in Cannock in 1891 :-) :-)

Update on Sarah

Received cert today great news it is Sarah from my tree death 23rd Dec 1891 her son in law Joseph Wilkes present at death
I now have another query if John her husband had died before Sarah would it not say on her cert widow of the late John Hyde on cert it says wife also it has John as a coal miner he was a stone miner He was on the 1881 census with Sarah not on the 1891 so I assumed he had died in between the two census John Hyde is a common name in this area Coseley, Sedgley and Tipton and I have found several deaths in the 10 year time frame that would fit so not sure yet which is my John

Thank you all again for your help :-) :-)

As already shown, Sarah is listed as "Married" in 1891 census - but that can't be taken as gospel.

In 1881 John is a "sinker of shafts" - which sound likecoal mining.
In 1871 he's a miner.
In 1861 he's a sinker.

1851 does say he was a stone miner - but maybe he changed occupation, or maybe it's a mistake on the census.

"Sinker - Someone skilled who contracted to sink new shafts for coal mining."
http://www.census1891.com/occupations-s.php

John's stated YOB varies from 1820 to 1824 in the various records.

Impossible to know which death is correct without buying the cert(s).

???
Deaths Dec 1889 (>99%)
Hyde John 69 Dudley 6c 46

Ancestry suggests the 1898 death in Walsall, posted on page 1 of this thread, of a John Hyde born c1824.
