The Newcastle death is ‘out’ as regards to age as I said earlier, but that could be due to a lack of knowledge on the part of the informant

Or registrar error, as the age is "correct" if calculated by subtracting 1908 from 1943, without paying attention to the month of birth.

Perhaps the registrar asked "When was she born?" instead of "How old was she?"

The estimated birth year shown on the transcription is calculated from the age at death shown on the Register
