greyghost Report 21 Jul 2021 18:16

The Death of an EC Hemmings on the Commonwealth War Graves site was an Edward Cyril who was in the RN. son of Robert and Edith from the Isle of Man.

"Died in WW2" doesn't necessarily mean he was killed due to the War. I was told one of my uncles died in the war - it just happened he'd died during the WW2 years!!

I can't see any sign of James's brother Edward Cecil apart from his birth - and presumably he is the closed record on the 1939 Register.
