Hi trying to trace siblings of my father, CHARLES WILLIAM ROBERTS, lived in and around STOCKPORT 192? to his death in 1987 known as Charlie, worked for Senior Service cigarettes, but best known as a Taxi driver. has a number of brothers and sisters. Beatie went to Scotland in 1940 but may have come back to Stockport in later years, she lived at one time in St. Augustines road Cheadle Heath ( Brinksway). Other brothers worked in and around Stockport, one at Mills Steel Works. Unfortunately due to circumstances I dont know names. Edgeley is one area that the Roberts family lived Chatham St I think. Also he had connections with religious groups, would welcome any info.

There's this George Roberts of about the right age in Chatham Street in 1939 - but not number 28, and with a different wife from the one on 1911.
Also a wildly different occupation. George senior in 1911 was a brakesman - though in 1939 it does say "Former heavy worker".

A man called Harold Starkie lives at no 28 in 1939 - nobody called Roberts.

I see that you have already been given the info about the 1942 marriage, although it was tied to the wrong Edna as the one you're looking into didn't have a second name and was twelve years younger. 'Yours' was never called Richards, either
