Hello Lorraine Do you have the 1841 census for Surrey? I am looking for Francis Atkins, born, c. 1797-1800, with his wife Hannah and children. Always lived in the Chertsey area, either Chertsey, Addlestone or Botleys & Lyne. Also wonder if there are any other Atkins living nearby, particularly his mother who I hope is Ann Atkins but this is a longshot. Thank you. Lesley

Hello Lorraine Thank you very much indeed for looking up Francis Atkins. You have given me some new names to follow up as well. With regard to Emmely Liggory - which I think should read Siggory, does it give what relation she is to Francis Atkins' family - such as daughter or niece? Does the 1841 census state this? Siggory is Hannah's maiden name, and I am wondering if she had a child before she married Francis Atkins. Would you be able to check this out for me? With grateful thanks. Lesley

Hi Lorraine Just realised that he Henry Frowen c 1818 you found for me was not mine because father you found was George and mine has father William. Really sorry about that! Should have mentioned it on original post. However, I wonder if you would be able to find Thomas Howell and his wife Eliza for me in the Lane End,West Dean area, Gloucs 1841. Thomas was born c 1821 and Eliza was born c 1825.both at Lane End. Thanks for your time:) Simone x

If possible could you look in the 1841 Warks for Elizabeth Hemmings (born Meriden c1824) and her father Robert Hemmings (born Stratford-upon-Avon c1791) Robert married an Ann in Leighton Buzzard in 1821, but I am expecting the family to be in the Meriden area in 1841 as their son Henry was born there around that time.
