It is just what I needed, as it confirms the data that I have so far in Scotland regarding the Milroy family, and the Milroy/Lindsay union will enable me to go the next step back. The date of July 1872 was when Agnes & David Stevenson had married in Liverpool, which leaves more questions than answers, as to how came they to be in Liverpool? James Another Coup but perhaps not want you want. Found the Birth of Marion Stevenson. Well she was christened also in Twynholm and it clearly says to David and Agnes nee Milroy. But underneath that it says July 21st 1872 Liverpool. Unsure if that was where she was born or where they married. Jo

James I have found the birth of your Charles Milroy. He was christened 10th July 1864 in the Twynholm District of Kirkcudbright. Parents are Anthony Milroy and Mary nee Lindsay. Anthony is an agricultural labourer. Jo

Seems I am having a problem with Scotlands people. I have tried to access two certificates for 5 credits each, The one for Mary Faulds in Kirkcudbright and the one for Ann Elder born 1864. On both ocassions they have taken my 5 credits but when it came to view my computer locked and I had to Ctrl Alt Del to unlock it the log on again. So I have paid for the views and wil have to contact Scotland people to see what has happened. Then I will get back to you. Jo

Hiya Jo, Thanks so much for your generosity! Could you find anything for David & Agnes STEVENSON nee MILROY please? He b. 1852 & Agnes 1850. Agnes had at least 2 brothers: Alexander b. 1856 & Charles MILROY. I believe they married in Liverpool in July 1872 then went 'back' to Twynholm, Kirkcudbright, where Agnes gave birth to a girl they called MARION in September 1872. At some later time they returned to Liverpool and raised a large & happy family. Twynholm appears to have been where they lived previously but it is not certain. Any help would be so very much appreciated, as I am just starting researching these important family members. Good luck & many thanks, Jim

Lesley No Elsie Gunn or Elsie Elder between 1885 and 1888 even without the counties criteria not set. There are some Eliza's. By putting just the first letters of the first name brings up loads of Eliza's and some Ellens Jo
