Hello there. Can you search for female E Moxom (or Moxam or other variations). She will possibly have a William Moxom and a John Moxom and an H Harris with her. She will be about 47 and H Harris her son will be about 15. Her address in 1901 Census was 134 Canton Street, Poplar. I have no other information about her as this was from 1901 Census. Many thanks Lynne

lynne have found the james aveling in 1861 quite misleading as he is down as son aged 42 unmarried with a thomas jenson maria etc. don't see how he could have been son. what do you think????? ___________ Lisa Is there anymore info you could give me on the 1901 census, can not even find on there. ___________

Foxyfeline Report 28 Oct 2005 08:16

Hi Sally Thanks for looking for me. Yes, I have the 1861 info already and I think it has to be a mistake by the enumerator as his father was William Aveling and he died a year after James was born! I have him on the 1871 too, married to Catherine. He died in 1875. I thought the 1851 census might give me a clue as to when he moved to London, as three of his half brothers were already in London by this time, and there is more family I have to find and I thought they might be together (big hope eh?). I can't find him on the 1851 Cambridgeshire census. It is an easily mistranscribed surname though. Here's hoping! Thanks Lisa xx
