hi exams finished, still can't find william porter, willing to do lookups for staffs 1851, please put as much information as possible staffordshire is very big. regards jackie.

Hi Jackie, If it is at all possible, i would appreciate a look up for Amos Mason who should be aged around 7 and be in the Pelsall area of Staffordshire. His father is Benjamin Mason. I am sorry that i have no other info on this boy. Regards, Claire x

hi thelma did joseph go under another name at all plenty of holmes/homes but no joseph, tried all the variations on the name index, do you have parebts or siblings. regards jackie.

Hi Jacqueline,Thanks for the offer ,please could you look for: George Chatwin Head born circa 1813 Elizabeth ' wife c 1812 Phoebe ' Dau c 1836-38 Hannah ' ' 1839 Hubert ' son c 1841 George H ' son 1846 Thomas ' son 1850 They were all born in Smethwick and were living in Smethwick on all the census's I've found them on If you'd really like a challenge I'd like to know where my Gt GT Grandad was in 1851 but as he wasn't with his family in 1861 all I know is he was called John Purcell(Pursell/Persil/Pursall/Percall/Piersall etc etc!!!!) and he was born around 1838-1840 in Smethwick.Common names in his family were: Frederick,William;Elijah ;John;Maria;Joseph;Henry;Edward (So,the same as everyone else!!!) Hi Jacqueline, All i have is that Amos' birth place was Pelsall in 1843, not sure where exactly it is but thought it was part of or near Walsall. On the 61 census he was with another family in West Brom. Regards, Claire
