Hi Sally. I am seeking any info' on Jabez Poole born c1894 Staffordshire - possibly Hednesford. All his siblings should have biblical names. christine searched for the George etc that was living in cromer st, could not find them on 1901. will look for the others.

christine finding great difficulty in locating george and lucy in 1891/1900 but, have found marriage sept qrt 1872 settle yorks lucy diffin vol 9a page 13 Perhaps if you could give me where you start i.e. your grandparents names I could work back. sometimes 2 heads are better than one. Hi Sally You very kindly helped me before wonder if you could do so with this one ,I have found on BMD the birth of ancestor James Vargetson 1875 Woolwich his marriage in 1896 in Eton to Mary Hissey . In 1901 census i found his wife and children but no James also asked somebody else but as of yet no James in 1881-1891- or 1901.Please could you see if you can find him i am begining to think i imagined him. Hi Sally, Thanks very much for the offer. Please could you look on the 1891 census for the Evans family of Ystradgynlais (which sometimes gets put in Glamorgan and sometimes in Breconshire). There should be David born c1848, Gwenllian c1851 and several children. Thanks, Michael

christine found james vargetson in 1891 soldier royal artillery barracks woolwich dockyard folio 115 page 27 gsu no 6095641 his birth June qrt 1875 woolwich vol 1d page 990 marriage to Mary ann hissey June qrt 1896 eton bucks vol 3a page 1131 when you get certificates it will give us a lot more to go on plus conformation of things found. _________________ Michael evans family (there are lots) found this 1861 John 1807 ann wife 1813 margaret 1835 david 1843 mary 1849 gwenllian 1851 william 1854 1891 david 1843 Glamorgan mary wife 1847 crickhowell breaconshire think Gwenllian must have been married by then. what do you think?????? ________ Penny all I have found for you so far is marriage of Eliza elizabeth arculus to robert walter green June qrt 1876 birmingham vol 6d page 130 ___________

awdrey 1901 found Henry J dawe in boys home and certified industrial school st owen herefordshire. inmate baker bread maker the superendentant was a edwin horth age 49 his teacher was a john taylor age 29 perhaps you can get info about this home school through Google. worth a try. ___________ Ron. Hi Sally, Sorry, I probably didn't make myself clear enough. This was the family in Ystradgynlais in 1881: David Evans H 33 Gwenllian Evans W 30 Sarah Evans D 7 Thomas Evans S 6 David Evans S 5 Mary Ann Evans D 2 Gwenllian Evans D 4 months I haven't put birthplaces in because they seemed to change from one census to the next; the older children were probably born in Resolven and Gwenllian junior in Ystradgynlais, but I wouldn't bank on it. I was hoping to find them in 1891, by which time I think there may have been several more children. Sorry for any confusion. Thanks, Michael

Hi Sally Thanks for your find offer. Got one side of family in 1871 census so wonder if you could look for them on the 1861 for me please. Details on 1871 are for Southwark Bermondsey(Georges Court) Timothy KELLY 45 Mary a KELLY 43 Timothy KELLY 16 Ellen KELLY 15 Mary a KELLY 11 ...there are 2 more children but would be too young for 1861 census. Hi Sally Please could you Look on the 1851 census Salcombe Devon Charles Welfare possibly born Sussex 1831. Have Looked at Sussex but no Luck even though he married in Rye Sussex in 1852. The 1861 Census he is Living at Robinson Row Salcombe Devon with his wife and children he is a mariner. Thankyou Jane
