Helen in Kent Report 3 Aug 2004 09:08

Hi Deb, thanks for looking. In 1891 Harry (my ancestor) was at Woolwich Barracks. In 1881 the family minus the little sister (died??) were in Portsea, Hants, where Emma came from. Just a thought, Emma's first name was Susan but everywhere she seems to be called by her middle name. Some kind person found the details I gave you for 1871 but I just can't find the birth details. I can place Harry (supposedly) in Chatham age 3 in 1871, in Portsea in 1881, in Woolwich in 1891, in Derby in 1901, 1904 and 1931. He just doesn't seem to have been born!!! I can even place George in Rochester in 1901. It's very frustrating and any help would be very much appreciated. :))))))
