I dont know anything really about her second husband and im not sure martin was his registered name. Martin was just what the children called him.

hannah... did you say your nan lost her dad when she was 18? ish... which means the 1948 death is probably right?

Yes she was about 18 ish so i think the death is probably right. Also i remember her saying that he was only about 50 ish when he died of a heart attack.

Florence died in shropshire i think. As florence leese.

is it possible whoever registered his death didn;t know his true age?

I've found a death for

Florence May Leese dob 14/02/1908 but she died in Stoke/T. in June qtr 1971.

Any good?

how old was florence when she died? roughly?

I suppose it could be possible. Maybe they never had his birth certificate because it was with his family in blackburn and they never went to blackburn to see them.

yes florence was josephs wife, and we need to find a birth for joseph around the 1896 mark...Florence remarried after the age of 50 to a martin leese we believe

Yes wayne so far thats right
