Greetings.
A third cousin twice removed married the Colonel in Shanghai 1901. They are said to have had a daughter about 1905. She was not registered in UK nor is she to be found in FMP and another site's military overseas births. Possibility is either Scotland or Ireland if they are not considered to be overseas.

You have to register then search for free. Purchase credits to view the certificate online if it’s over 100 years ago. Unfortunately for us, the index does not give the mother’s maiden name although it may have been incorporated in the child’s.

Have you searched the internet for the Colonel? There might be biography or obituary give family details.

Do you want to give names so we can take a look

You say you've looked at military overseas births, but have you checked non-military ones? "Military" births tended to be in places with lots of British armed forces, like India, or Singapore, where there was probably a military hospital.

We are a Naval family, and our son was born in Ghana, but he is registered as a civilian and doesn't appear in the lists of military births overseas.
