Welcome to the boards Abigail.

If you'd like to give us some details we may be able to help - "we" are other GR members.

What were their names.
Their ages when you last have them sighted.
Where were they last living that you know of.
The more you can tell us the better.

If you have them on a census and you can copy and paste that to this thread that would help.

My gg grands were born early 1800's, yours could be more than 100 years later. Records change in that time.

Hi it’s the first time I’ve used the board sorry I didn’t put any info on. I was looking for hints to do it myself. But any help would be great. I am mainly struggling with Fanny Cresswell (nee Potter)

Again, if correct marriage, this would be them on the 1881 census.

Is this your family?

He's consistent with his year of birth on those 2 posted census, so this may well be his birth, although he didn't use the initial at marriage

greyghost Report 16 Mar 2018 17:56

Henry Boyer Cresswell was buried 16 August 1941 in Nottinghamshire with 3 other people.

4 days earlier Abigail and I still had full access to the records on the Deceasedonline website.

however if he died in Nottingham this burial is likely to be at Nottingham General Cemetery, Nottingham Rock or Church Cemetery, Southern Cemetery @ Wilford Hill or the Northern Cemetery at Bulwell.

----------------

There is a burial for a Frances Fanny Cresswell on 3 March 1919 in Nottinghamshire also with 3 other burials.

I can't say for sure obviously, but would take a guess they are together ? with 2 other family members.

You can get £5 worth of credit to look at the full details. It would use £1.50 to look at the 3 other names and £2 to look at a scan of the burial register which may give an address.

Abigail has Lucy Cresswell 1882 on her tree so posted info should be correct family.

EDIT - doesn't look to be correct one looking at Chris Ho's post from free reg which gives Father as William.

I would think this is Fanny in 1861 as Frances C (original looks like a C, but later on C and E could well have been confused.

Trowell is about 5 miles from Beeston

So this one?

Original says born Carrington (not Beeston) for her place of birth - they are about 7 miles apart.
Carrington is next door to Hyson Green and Radford next door to Hyson Green the other way. About 2 miles in it.
